In July PornFilmFestival Berlin presents two films, which will give new inside information to queer lifestyle. Together with distribution company Bildkraft from Berlin we will present the new release of Pornography by David Kittredge. Claus Matthes (PornFilmFestival Berlin) and a famous pornstar will do an introduction.

Pornography, David Kittredge, USA 2009, 113 Min

In this sexy, trippy, psychological creep-show, a gay porn star named Mark Anton mysteriously disappears after he decides to leave the business at the height of his fame in 1995. Rumors about murder and blackmail swirl for 14 years, until Michael, a young New York writer researching a book about pornography, decides to investigate the strange events. An underground video is unearthed that might be a snuff film capturing the missing star’s bizarre — and perhaps supernatural — vanishing act. Michael’s sleuthing brings back the same paranormal energy that destroyed Mark, turning his own life into a surreal, voyeuristic nightmare.

Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, porn “brand” Matt Stevens decides he wants to direct a film about the disappearance of the missing star and feverishly pens a screenplay based on his own disturbing dreams (a “porno thriller in three acts”) called The Mark Anton Story. He’s given the green light by his skeptical producer, as long as he plays the starring role. The production is obviously cursed, as reality and fantasy blur while Matt relives Mark’s final days in the industry.

Warning: There are no (unsimulated) pornographic scenes in this movie. But it does have a twisty, clever script; ample male nudity; genuine suspense; a hot cast and plenty of mindfucking. Plus a mysterious ring, a menacing stranger and a rent boy who accepts personal checks. — CHRISTOPHER KEECH

July 8th, Moviemento 2, 8:30pm, English with German subtitles.

Emilie Jouvet, who is known for her groundbreaking film „One Night Stand“, presents with PornFilmFestival Berlin her new film,

TOO MUCH PUSSY! Feminist Sluts in The QueerXShow, Emilie Jouvet, France/Germany 2010, 97 Min.

It is an explicit documentary about the wild adventures of 7 women on a performance art tour, who travelled in a van around Europe during the summer of 2009, treaded the stages of nightclubs and theaters in Paris, Berlin, Stockholm… They are activists, artists, writers, musicians, sex-workers, porn stars. They are from Europe and from America. They are of various sexual (dis)orientations and gender expressions. The film documents the tour, the life-changing experiences that the 7 girls go through, the intersections in their shows and in their lives between pornography and art,  performance and reality, personal and political.

Emilie Jouvet, Wendy Delorme, Judy Minx, Sadie Lune, Mad Kate and Metzgerei Schnitzlbaumer bring you this sex-positive feminist manifesto. Go and talk with them about their great European adventure after the screening and celebrate at the Afterparty at LUX
